Last Chance…EVER…

Ok, I’m sure it’s not REALLY your last chance ever but it is your last chance here on my blog to win your choice of Yurbuds or 50% off from OpticNerve in my contest. That’s right folks, my beautiful tri bike needs a name and she will have one come tomorrow end of day. If you want a chance to win your choice of Yurbuds or 50% off at Optic Nerve go HERE and give me some names for my bike. I’ll choose and announce the winner sometime tomorrow.

In other news, I have added a new page up top that will show you my workout for the next three days. I will do my best to keep it updated but you know, sometimes things get in the way. Things like biking, swimming, running, eating, mothering, wife-ing, sleeping….showering (if your lucky)…you get the point. But if you want to follow along as I train for 70.3 be my guest!

And get this….ONE pound lost this week (and that was wearing my sweatshirt and shoes too)! Yep, right on schedule to lose one pound a week for the next 57 weeks. NOT! Just kidding. 57 is just my favorite number. I like to use it randomly. But really, I am going to try to shed one pound a week for the next 10-15 weeks. This week I am exceptionally happy since I missed two workouts due to weather and LB being home from school. Let’s see what another week of tri training and some serious veggie eating, controlled carb intake, and minimal sugar intake will do!

And the random photo of the day:

Since you all loved LB’s illustrated sentences earlier in the week I thought I would share this, a “Rocket Flying Over a Sail Boat”.

rocket over sail boat

We went out for Sushi tonight with Breaking Pace and her hubs…it was in two words DE-LISH! I love sushi! What’s your favorite sushi roll? I like the volcano roll but there was a funny one on the menu I wanted to try, Dirty Old Man…anyone ever had it?

If you could eat only three things for ONE WHOLE WEEK what would you choose? I think would choose orange bell peppers, maple oatmeal and pineapple orange juice, can that be counted as something you eat? According to LB NO, but I think so.

Have a great weekend!!! Anyone doing anything fun? And don’t forget, help me name my bike!!!! HERE

  1. I'm no good at naming objects so I have no input on the bike. Someone told me I need to name my Garmin and I still haven't done that. Maybe I need to seek bloggy help for that? lol
Love the illustration of the rocket over the sailboat! I love little kiddos art. :)
Fun for the weekend? Rest here, doctor's orders. And it is killing me.

  2. Great job on the 1 lb and good luck with the rest. I can't seem to lay off the donuts so losing weight, not exactly in the cards for me this week.
Sushi is super-fantastic. I love a varied of rolls, but my favorite is just plan hamachi nigiri. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
Same 3 things for a week? Brown sugar oatmeal with raisins, Peanut Butter and Jelly and blueberries.

    Have a great weekend!

  3. Congrats on the lbs lost! Gosh, 3 things...
PB, for sure, sushi, and bananas. You can't live off of licorice and Hot Tamales can you?

I named your bike once, but I'm going to dream on it and see what else I come up with!! :D

  4. Hmmmm...PB for some protein, ice cream for a little calcium, and strawberries because I'm addicted to berries. Now off to get some of that PB before my 10 Miley this morning. Have a great day! By the way my garmin is MIA. Crackers thing! It has been a week. How long should I wait before getting a new one?

  5. I don't like seafood, so I stick to vegetarian sushi. I LOVE the wasabi stuff that comes with it!

  6. Kimert-rest easy! You'll be back at it in no time (if you follow Dr.'s orders). =)

Tottuga-TOTALLY gonna try the hamachi nigiri next time!

Miss Blonde Ponytail, pretty sure you could live off of licorice and Hot Tamales. We should try!

Carmen, I shudder to imagine the loss you are experiencing right now...I will host a moment of silennce for your missing Garmin in my next post. Is it a 405 or 305 or what? Trust me, it matters...they are sneaky and crafty and like to hide. You'll find it, I hope!!! In the mean time if you have an iPhone Map My Run app works kind of well for tracking your runs.

Pam, WASABI!!! MMMM....love it mixed in with the soy sauce! It packs a punch for sure!

  7. I just posted a suggested name on your original post about your new bike. ;-)

Love the picture - and the name is an important piece of the artwork. Sometimes it is the name of the art that speaks to an individual. ;-)

OK - three things I could live on for a week:
Yogurt - I am from WI - so I need my dairy products
    Asperagus - Love it
    Blueberries - yum

  8. I've been following your blog for awhile but haven't commented much. If you're looking for a list of swim sets to try for your swim training, I post my master's swim workouts on my blog, you can pick and choose sets based on the time of your workout. I hate to self-promote, I just thought it would be useful to suggest! Like running, sets help the time go by faster and quite frankly, beet the boredom of endless laps. Looking forward to reading more about your 1/2 Ironman training!
