…going for a run on a Friday!!
Woooooo!!!
Usually I spin then swim on Fridays but today The Hubs is home from work and we are going for a run! I suggested a motorcycle ride to a trail outside of town, run for an hour, then come home. I’m not sure what we’ll do or where we will go but the Neighbor(ing)hood is not going to suffice today. I neeeeeed new scenery. What do you do when you need to spice up your running?
Oh and get this!!! If you haven’t entered my Allied Medal Display Giveaway yet don’t forget to do so HERE. But if you don’t want to enter or don’t want to wait until Monday check this out:
They are having a Mother’s Day sale so head over HERE and check it out!!!
And finally—Remember that one time when I was riding my bike, like really fast? And I totally crashed? Yeah. Me too. Well I was wearing my favorite Brooks tights. Stupid. I know. When I put them on I actually thought to myself that I shouldn’t wear them on the bike because they are for running and I didn’t want to ruin them. But then I argued back to myself that it was quickly warming up and I would put the tights away for the summer….Yeah. Then I went for a ride and hurled myself into a ditch. Almost died and ripped my tights.
So what do you think? Are they done? Toast? Retired? Trash?? Or can I patch them somehow? How?
Happy Friday and Happy Easter!!!
Have fun running with the hubs! New scenery sounds great!
ReplyDeleteDude, patch them!! Get some awesome fabric and patch it up!!
ReplyDeleteHave fun on your run!! I love finding new places to run. It makes it so much less boring because sometimes you have to have something more exciting!
I'd patch them :) Recoverable, IMO ;)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the run today! It's nice to break routine, your body will love it.
Patch them with a big yellow smiley face!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Have fun on your run!!!
ReplyDeleteI would not throw those away..it just looks like a small hole. I would try and patch them!
I love running with my hubby.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great excuse for a shopping spree. ;)
A change of scenery is always so refreshing. I love discovering new routes. Maybe you will find places where you can run safely and not miss your old hood so much.
ReplyDeleteI would defintely get new tights, because a girl can never have too much exercise gear. But I would also still wear the old ones. The hole is a badge of honor.
No scars, no proof! :-)
To spice up my running I run to/from work or run to/from meeting someone somewhere-then I HAVE to do it!
ReplyDeletePatch those suckers. Brooks tights are $$$
I love the idea of (motorcycle) biking out to the trail, running and heading back home. What a fantastic relaxing day! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteA change of scenery is always brings new energy to a run for me. I hope you enjoy your Good Friday outing!
ReplyDeleteI say patch the tights!
Patch 'em! It will be a reminder of how strong you are!
ReplyDeleteif the hole isn't in an inappropriate place, keep 'em. It's nice to have stuff like that for muddy trail runs. :)
ReplyDeleteYou can try to get an iron on interfacing type patch that you put on the inside if you don't want it to show, as long as it doesn't rub or chaf from the inside. Or... you could chop them off and make biking shorts out of them!
ReplyDeletePatch them. There are lots of iron-on patches out there, plus maybe you could patch a colorful piece of fabric or something else on there to spice the tights up.
ReplyDeleteI'd say the tights are totally fixable.
ReplyDeleteAnd whenever I get bored of my runs, I just map out a new area. Thus far I haven't used up all of my neighborhood, so I still have directions and streets I haven't christened yet with my sweat. Once I do though, I'll be riding my bike to other neighborhoods and running there.
