I sorely miscalculated the weather here in Okie-loma for race day. Forecast is 55 and rain. Great. I packed for 70 and sunny. Epic fail.

ReplyDeleteYikes!!! Sounds like when we went to Disney and it was only a few degrees above freezing, meanwhile we brought shorts & tanks! I have never seen so many people run an entire marathon wearing throwaway sweats.

ReplyDeleteGood luck to you. Maybe buy some gear at the expo. I just saw that Adam from I Am Boring is in OKC. I wish I could be there to meet up since I'm only 2 hours away, but I'll be running a 1/2 mary up here myself that day.
ReplyDeleteGood luck out there! I ran a race in Feb around that temp and ended up peeling off a bunch of layers...hopefully you'll be A-okay :)
ReplyDeleteI will be at the 16 mile marker cheering and taking pictures. Are you doing the full or the half? If you are doing the full I'll look for you...but I seem to remember you are doing the half this year. Good luck and have fun!!

ReplyDeleteRan it. My feet are still prunes, and it's been 6 hours. And my teeth are still chattering. And I slipped at mile 5 and landed on my trashbag covered rump.. so I basically created my own little slip and slide. But it was awesome! Hahaha! How'd you do?
