…yesterday I didn’t even look at my training plan. I just wanted to swim 1.2 miles. So I did. Today I actually looked at my plan and guess what was on it for today? Yep, a 2,000 yd swim. So what did I do today? I swam another 1.2 miles!!!! I was kind of excited to do it again and the plan actually had me doing different drills, not just a straight swim. So I did my 300 yd warm up/500 yd swim, 400 yd pull, 300 yd kick, 200 yd pull, 100 yd swim/ 200 yd cool down. Shew!!! I was tired! But not done yet….I hit up spin class directly after my swim and I was toasted. For the first time I slacked big time in spin. I didn’t sweat buckets like normal. Don’t get me wrong though, I did sweat, just not buckets…more like liters. Tomorrow calls for 10x400 yd intervals(running) …I may do that or a 5 mile run. We will see. My first half marathon of the year is a week and a half away!!!
Once I got home I was starving!!! Remember when you were a kid and swimming would completely famish you? Yeah, well that doesn’t change as you get any older… I made a bomb-diggity sandwich and scarfed it down…
This past weekend we got the trampoline put together!! So I picked up LB for some prime trampoline-jumping fun!!
This is swim/spin hair…the new rage in Hollywood! Seriously…
Me and LB getting our jump on!!!
This is THE BEST action shot…
I love it!! I love how Lazy Dog is just chillin’ back there.
And for those of you having a tiny little anxiety attack, we are getting a safety net put up ASAP. We have to order it and it will be here soon.
Well off to supervise LB and throw some dinner on the grill!!! Are any of you celebrating Fat Tuesday?
Fun on the TRAMP-o-line!! Fabulous job on your swimming workouts--Wow.
ReplyDeleteThe sam-mich looks delish---what kind of bread are you using??
Jewish Rye with seeds!!! SO good!!!! =)
ReplyDeleteYou are rocking those swims! So awesome
ReplyDeleteGood job! The thought of doing spin after that much swimming makes ME sore.
ReplyDeleteSafety net, smafety net... I remember falling off my friend's one when I was a kid. Her older brother also used to routinely jump off the roof, out his 2nd storey bedroom window or off the deck. I'm kind of amazed we didn't kill ourselves now that I think about it. Maybe the net's a good thing! :)
I'm more worried about you than the kid - don't break your neck on that thing! (I would)
ReplyDeleteAWESOME SAMMICH! I love big huge veggie loaded sandwiches and a PICKLE! You're killing me... hmm, it's dinner time but we don't have sammich fixins. :(
That sandwich looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteLove all the actions shots!
We had a trampoline as a kid I loved it! I was a cheerleader and I used to practice all my toe touches on there haha. We didn't have a safety net but luckily I never broke any bones from it. But once we put the sprinkler under it and I slipped in between the rails and really knocked the wind out of me.
Love the trampoline! I have to say tho, I grew up with a trampoline and never knew that there was even such a thing as a "safety net." I never heard of those until I got to Fort Lewis and saw all these nets around trampolines on post. I remember looking at my husband and saying "WTF are those?"
ReplyDeleteGood for you for getting a net. Jumping on the trampoline always makes me have to go to the bathroom. Darn giving birth 14 years ago!
ReplyDeleteso so jealous, I want to spend my fat tuesday on a trampoline. Instead I got my booty handed to me with a tough core class. So worth it though! Great job on the swim/spin. I love the hairdo, I think it WILL be the latest trend. :)
ReplyDeleteI love yummy sandwiches like that!! Great swims!! I'd like to do a sprint tri someday, but never did any swim training. Is it incredibly difficult to learn?
ReplyDeleteTramp looks fun!!
You rock! And I love pickles!!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo for an awesome swim! Swimming makes me hungry too!
ReplyDeleteI love the action shots of you two jumping! It looks like you were having a blast!
Safety nets are for wusses. You know, kind of like helmets and seat belts.
ReplyDeleteWhy does swimming make a person so freakin' hungry?!?! I've never swam a lap in my life, but even just going to the beach and playing/swimming in the ocean/lake does it to me!
Yum. Will you make my lunch tomorrow? ha
ReplyDeleteBuy more tri-gear and skip the safety net.
ReplyDelete(If) Any accident builds character.
Yes! Now that is how to make a sandwich! We so want to get a trampoline...with a safety net. ;) And great job on your swim..you're awesome!
ReplyDeleteI am jealous that you get to play outside! It's still so cold here! I loved jumping on the trampoline as a kid. We never had a safety net though. It would have made it impossible to jump from the roof onto the trampoline if we had one of those!! :)
ReplyDeleteYay for more swimming!
ReplyDeleteEver watch "The Man Show" on Comedy Central a while ago? Just saying you trampoline pics have some potential.
ReplyDeleteNice swims! And yes, STARVING after a good swim.
ReplyDeleteLove the tramp shots! Nice swim too! You and I have our first marys on the same day!
